What is MEMEX?
A (future) device for individual use, which is a sort of mechanized private file and library.
It is a device in which an individual stores all his books, records, and communications, and which is mechanized so that it may be consulted for information with exceeding speed and flexibility. It is an enlarged intimate supplement to his memory.

Scenario I - Build a trail
The scholar starts to edit the collected information
He selects a piece of data from another file and insert it into the desired location
The scholar save his work as a pamphlet
The scholar starts to edit the collected information
Scenario II - User I share his pamphlet to user II
User II opens/expands the pamphlet
User II builds another trail upon on the user I file
User II saved this new file and start to discuss with User I
User II opens/expands the pamphlet
